The first WADAS Photography Competition…!

To celebrate the upcoming 10th birthday of Wakefield and District Astronomical Society (WADAS), we are launching an astrophotography competition for Wakefield Express readers.

Having been formed 10 years ago this coming October, WADAS members have been observing and photographing the skies around Wakefield and West Yorkshire, as well as hosting lots of local, and not so local, astronomy experts giving us insightful lectures on lots of different areas of Astronomy ever since. We have up to 10 guest speakers annually, combined with social meet ups once a month, telescope clinics and astrophotography sessions, Christmas quizzes and members only events all running to help the interested amateur improve their knowledge about all matters astronomical.

We now want Wakefield Express readers to help us celebrate our 10th birthday with an open astrophotography competition.

we have FIVE categories for you to enter under
