WADAS Presents: The Soup Tin Sessions…
Our chairman is in full lockdown, so to help ease his insanity he’s been introduced to the finer arts of streaming / recording. We’ll be posting his sessions below. Unfortunately technology won for Part 1, so we apologise for the low noise quality… this was resolved for Part 2.

All Events Cancelled – Covid19 Update
We’re sad to have to announce the society has taken the decision to cancel all meetings for the immediate future in-line with government recommendations. Our membership covers a wide range of ages and vulnerable groups, and we must put everyone’s safety first.
An email has been sent to all society members. Further updates will be posted here and on our site in due course.
Stay safe… keep your eyes on the skies!
Our Society was started by a few amateur astronomers from the district who got together via the Stargazers Lounge forum and arranged some local star gazing sessions. Over 6 months numbers swelled, bringing a vast and varied range of personalities, equipment and knowledge of the night sky alongside. The society has continued to go from strength to strength.
We host a number of guest speaker meetings throughout the year during the stargazing season, as well as several public outreach sessions covering both solar and stellar observing.
The society is a member of the Federation of Astronomical Societies, and is governed by a constitution-bound committee with an AGM held annually at which society members may vote on decisions for the forthcoming year.
