The Dark Shark Nebula
There is something lurking in the depths of space. A ghostly apparition of a fierce looking predator! But don't worry, this gigantic cloud of dust particles coated in frozen Molecular Hydrogen as well as other gases won't hurt you. Dark Nebula and light Nebula are similar to clouds on Earth. These huge dust clouds in space can form some rather unusual shapes. Like this cloud that resembles a giant shark. This is probably my favourite object. I have been wanting to image this target for a couple of years now but failed many times due to the very low surface brightness of the nebula. This was one tough object to image and even more difficult to process. It honestly doesn't even show up on my single shots! Hopefully I will have more time to add more to this image as two trips to the North Yorkshire Moors and 5 hours of exposures just isn't enough for this faint object..
