Night Sky Navigations
February 25 @ 7:30 pm - 9:30 pm
£19
Join us at RSPB St Aidan’s Nature Park for an evening discovering the night sky!
Led by the Wakefield and District Astronomical Society, this interactive session will allow you to learn about how the night sky has been used as an aid for navigation across land and water. It will also describe how you can learn to observe the night sky, and use major star constellations and the patterns they form, to navigate to other interesting celestial objects such as galaxies, star clusters and numerous deep-space objects. There will be a range of telescopes and other optical equipment so you can compare the views through each. Feel free to bring along your equipment if you have something suitable.
